Discover the Biostatistics Course I’ve Been Building All Year — And the One Insight I Want Every Student to Learn
Your gateway into biostatistics, causality, and the ideas Stats 101 forgot.

Dear Causal Inference in Statistics Enthusiast,
For the past year, Alex Molak and I have been quietly building something I’m really proud of: an Introduction to Biostatistics online course designed to change how statistics is taught.
This course was born from a frustration I’ve had for more than a decade: the ideas that truly spark curiosity in statistics—causality, modern inference, deeper statistical thinking—rarely show up in Stats 101.
Alex and I wanted to fix that.
Our goal was simple: teach statistics in a way that opens doors, not closes them. A way that makes students feel excited about what’s possible, not intimidated.
The course includes 6 core lectures broken into short, engaging modules, packed with R and Python code, case studies, thought experiments, visualizations, quizzes, and real-world data:
Course Presentation - Biostatistics today, AI, Machine Learning, Causality
Descriptive Statistics
Visualizing Data
Probability Distributions
Hypothesis Testing
Modelling Relationships Between Variables
Alex asked me, “What’s the one thing you want students to walk away with?” My answer below:
PS. The regular edition of the newsletter returns on December 1st.
Until next time.
